It's been a while since I've been able to do a post...lots happening, busy lives...April's falling asleep routine preference is changing so I haven't had the evening time that I used to. She likes to go straight into bed now with me lying next to her bypassing the rocking chair completely. I fall asleep too now! Can't stay awake like I used to with the rocking chair method! Probably much better for me to get earlier nights and more sleep but I find myself waking up at 2am! Hence here I am doing a bit of blogging.
So what have we been up to? Yesterday I had to play a gig and Darren took the girls to the Melbourne Museum which they love visiting. I've had quite a few gigs coming up. With Spring coming up the gigs become more frequent and by November we're playing every weekend... I have noticed that with the frequency of long gigs my energy during the week can flucuate a lot more.
Anyway we had a fantastic day last Thursday. There was a home education network event a
'Bubble Show' where this guy created amazing bubbles, and shapes and had the kids inside huge bubbles, he was really funny and energetic. Even I went inside a bubble holding April. Rox met up with her friend Bridie (whose family was there) and I met a few homeschoolers I didn't know before who were very nice, down to earth, kind people. It was such a blast! There were lots of kids running around, doing bubble activities or not, or just hanging out. April made friends with some girls whose mother I was amazed to see so respectful of April, listening to her and talking with her. I hope to meet up with her again. It was wonderful to meet people in my local home-ed group.
After the Bubble show I took the girls to their regular Thursday creative dance class, which Rox and Bridie seem to love. It was a lovely day!
